Newell Ambulance Service PDF Print E-mail

Newell ambulance has been serving the citizens of eastern Butte County since the mid 1970's. Over many years the service has been staffed by volunteer EMT's and EMT-I's. These dedicated individuals have invested and continue to invest their time, efforts and money to maintain the skills necessary to provide high quality patient care. The service has two ambulances at its disposal in Newell and has paramedic intercept from Spearfish and Sturgis. The Life flight helicopter is also available from Rapid City Regional Hospital to transport patients should the need arise. Newell Ambulance has a lot of experience to draw from with only two members having less than five years experience and three members having in excess of twenty-five years experience. The rest of the crew is somewhere in between. Present members of the crew are Dave Zwetzig (Director), Hope Komes (Sec-Treas.), Alice Orr (Supply Officer), Todd Komes (Maintenance Officer), Mark Jarnecke, Toni Jarnecke, Craig Douthit, Calvin Fickbohm, Anne Fickbohm, Don Hunt, Loren Lewis, Tom Lewis, Robyn Orr, Jake Rottenbucher, Vicki Stark, Don Tishmack, Sherry Wulf and John Kjellsen. Dr. Dale Hogen, Family Medical Center, serves as the volunteer Medical Director for the service.

If you would care to join our services, please contact Dave Zwetzig.
